Wintergreen as a room scent and in perfumery

Origin of wintergreen - Latin Gaultheriaprocumbens/Gaultheriafragrantissima - North America
Wintergreen belongs to the genus Gaultheria and belongs to the heather family. The American wintergreen is native to eastern North America and can grow up to 15 cm high. The evergreen dwarf shrub has white to pink flowers that open in July and August and develops red berries. However, wintergreen essential oil is obtained from the leaves.
