Lavender oil: effect and multiple uses
Lavender oil is rich in linalool and linalyl acetate. The latter is responsible for the typical scent of the essential oil. The intense smell and the many ingredients make lavender oil a real all-round talent. It can be used as a fragrance for soaps and detergents, is antibacterial and expectorant and has a calming but also invigorating effect on the human psyche. Lavender smells pleasant to our nose, but some bugs find it annoying. Therefore, lavender oil is also excellent for fighting moths and mosquitoes. Our lavender oil is a highly concentrated essential oil and should therefore only be used diluted. Please note our information under "Application".
Uses of lavender oil:
• If you have trouble sleeping: Put a few drops of lavender oil on the back of your pillow for a more relaxed sleep.
• For headaches: Put a few drops of the diluted lavender oil on the forehead and massage in gently.
• For stings: apply a few diluted drops of lavender to the itchy area.
• Against moths: Put a few drops on a small cloth or bag and hang it in the wardrobe.

Using lavender oil as a fragrance oil has many other positive effects in addition to the pleasant smell. Various beneficial properties are attributed to the essential lavender oil: Lavender oil can have a calming, antispasmodic, immune-protecting, anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving and insect-repellent effect. For a pleasant smell, simply put a few drops of lavender oil in an aroma lamp and dilute with water. Characteristics of organic lavender essential oil
Lavender oil is a mobile, colorless to yellowish liquid. It has a characteristic, fresh and floral smell. In terms of length of stay, intensity and effect, it is assigned to the heart notes.
Essential lavender oil dissolves well in alcohol (1:5, 70% ethanol), well in vegetable oils and other essential oils. It is almost insoluble in water. The main components are linalool and linalyl acetate. It also contains ocimene isomers, terpinen-4-ol and limonene to a lesser extent.

Application:
room scenting
Put 5-8 drops of essential oil in the bowl filled with water in the aroma lamp or wet the aroma stone directly with it. In combination with other essential oils, reduce the amount as desired.
Fragrance blend for an uplifting sleep: 3-4 drops of petitgrain oil Bigaradier, 3-4 drops of fine lavender
Soothing and nerve-boosting fragrance blend: 2 Tr. Litsea, 2-3 Tr. Lavender fine.
Relaxing fragrance mixture as a little break and for air purification: 5 drops of silver fir, 3 drops of fine lavender, 2 drops of litsea, 1 drop each of clary sage and bay leaf. Storage: Store away from light at temperatures of 15 to 22 °C and out of the reach of children.
Important instructions:
Note the hazard warnings on the label. The bottle has a childproof cap and vertical dropper. To dose the essential oil, hold the bottle upside down so that you can count the individual drops. Depending on the consistency of the oil, it may take some time after opening for the first time until the first drops can be seen.
Caution: Essential oils are concentrates that may only be used diluted! Some of the ingredients in essential lavender oil are classified as harmful to health. Limonene, linalyl acetate and linalool have allergenic potential. At a excessive consumption lavender products can lead to abnormal sleepiness (somnolence). Limonene may cause skin irritation in sensitive individuals. Lavender essential oil is not suitable for internal use in pregnant women, infants and young children.
