Folic acid and B12 for improved brain function

Scientists found that long-term supplementation of folic acid and vitamin B12 can improve brain function in older people. The latest study, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, shows that oral supplementation with folic acid and vitamin B12 reduces cognitive decline in older people with high levels of mental distress. The improvement in cognitive function occurred after 24 months, with short-term and long-term memory performance in particular being positively influenced.
