Autumn is pumpkin spice season! 🍂 This vegan pumpkin spice protein latte combines creamy coffee with warming spices and an extra dose of plant-based protein thanks to ProteinAgil . Whether you choose the classic pumpkin version or the gently spiced chai latte , this drink is the perfect companion for cool autumn days. ☕

The idea
Inspired by the popular Pumpkin Spice Latte, we wanted to create a version that not only tastes delicious but is also functional – with high-quality plant-based protein and autumnal spices. The result: a creamy, aromatic latte with a velvety texture, a delicate pumpkin flavor, and a harmonious blend of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and other spices.
For all chai lovers, this recipe can be wonderfully adapted: simply replace the espresso with some strong black tea and add cardamom or vanilla – creating your very own Pumpkin Spice Chai Protein Latte . 🍵
Ingredients for 1 serving (~300 ml)
- 1 strong espresso or 50 ml strong coffee (alternatively 50 ml black tea for the chai version)
- 200 ml (oat) milk
- 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree (slightly less for a milder version, to taste)
- 1 tsp pumpkin spice mix (for the chai version add cardamom & vanilla to taste)
- 1 tbsp maple syrup or sweetener of your choice
- ½ tsp ProteinAgil (vegan protein powder with DigeZyme®)
preparation
- Pour the pumpkin puree into a heat-resistant glass or cup.
- Add pumpkin spice, ProteinAgil and maple syrup.
- Pour in (oat) milk and mix with a hand mixer or milk frother until creamy and well combined.
- Finally, slowly pour the hot espresso (or black tea for the chai version) over it, so that a fine layer forms.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon, pumpkin spice or a little syrup as desired – and enjoy!
Tip: If you don't have a milk frother, you can gently heat all the ingredients in a small saucepan (do not boil!) and whisk until creamy. For the iced version , simply shake all the ingredients while cold, serve over ice, and optionally top with plant-based cream. ❄️
